Briana's Guinea Pigs
Briana and Penny brought their guinea pigs in for us to have a cuddle. Their names are Amber, Daisy and Heidi. Did you know that guinea pig teeth keep on growing?

Water Rockets
We have been making water rockets with plastic bottles. Our rockets have fins and noses made of plastic or card. We wanted to launch them but it is pouring with rain and the wind is blowing too strong. We might have to wait until next term.

Matariki lanterns
We made these lanterns to celebrate Matariki. We used black and white crayon with red dye. Matariki is celebrating the Maori New Year when the seven sisters stars appear in the morning sky.

Cross country 2015
We had a lovely time on Monday afternoon running through the shrubs and over the beach. We all tried our very best and finished with a smile on our faces.

Culture Day
Today was Culture day. We ate foods from Germany, India, China, Thailand, Wales and Scotland. We played games, learnt some other languages and did some cool art. Some of us had hangi for lunch too. We all had an awesome day.

Museum Visit
We went to the museum today to meet Esther from the Suter Art programme. She told us about the First World War and how important family was to the soldiers. We thought about our families and what they mean to us and painted some little flags to put on our mural.

Today we dressed up for mufti day. We were raising money to help Deanna and her family who are in Christchurch hospital.

School ANZAC Day Celebrations
Today we had a celebration for ANZAC Day. Two men from the airforce came too. It was nice to see people wearing their medals.

ANZAC DAY
Mrs Beyer-Reiger came to show us her army uniform. Seth is wearing it and Harry has the gas mask on. She showed us her medal that she will wear at the ANZAC Day parade.
